Creation of Australian designer Ben Edwards and Juliet Moore in the State of Design Festival, a wink to these stools made from scrap boards and other wooden brackets rendered together by a strapping industry. Called “Offcut Stools, ” learn all the details in the pictures now!
As a contribution to this year’s State of Design Festival, Edwards Moore designed and constructed a set of bar stools for a popular city venue made entirely from reclaimed materials. They used discarded timber off cuts from a variety of sources to create the structure, bound together using an industrial ratchet. The top was then sanded and finished with linseed oil, putty and wax to create a smooth surface.
