Mazda has benefited from living in Moscow to unveil a new concept car in the tradition of “Nagare“and other “Taiki“, the Kazamai, which in Japanese means “swirling crosswinds” … Every detail in the sequel!
Foreshadowing the future little 4X4 recreation that would compete with the Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan or the Renault Koleos, the Kazamai is innovating by providing a style very slender, with a height of only 1.50 meters, the equivalent of a compact sedan as the Peugeot 308.
Technical side, the Mazda Kazamai follows the doctrine of “Zoom-Zoom”, ie it intends to provide a better respect the environment without hindering the driving pleasure. This concretely means careful aerodynamics, for relief work of a hundred pounds (body panels, plastic) and the adoption of a 2-liter direct-injection gasoline to reduce consumption and emissions CO2 by 30%.
Alas, the Kazamai should not be visible at the Paris Auto early October, when one would expect rather a Mazda concept of micro-urban foreshadowing a future Mazda1.
